India - B&W 2 Qutb Minar, Delhi This 12th century tower was built to celebrate the Muslim dominance over Delhi, which was to last over 600 years. The tower is about 73 metres high, and tapers from a 15 metre base to just 2.5 metresat the top. It sits above the foundations of Lal Kot - an 8th century settlement of the Tomara Rajputs.
